Dr. Murthy Remilla
Dr. Murthy Remilla has more than 35 years of experience at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) with more than 25 years experience in building Telemedicine/Telehealth networks across India.
Dr. Remilla began his career with ISRO career at the PSLV launch pad. He progressed his career with key strategic roles leading up to the position as the Deputy Director of International Business Development at Antrix Corporation, where he successfully managed the Indian remote sensing satellite market across 16 countries.
Dr. Remilla has a PhD from the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore with his research in space-based remote sensing market dynamics. He also served as the National Coordinator of the National Database for Emergency Management (NDEM) and concluded his tenure at ISRO as the Head of Project Management of the historic Gaganyaan Human Spaceflight program.
As a pioneer in digital healthcare in addition to his achievements in Aerospace, Dr. Remilla has diligently worked for over 25 years in advancing digital healthcare equity in India with his executive leadership at the Telemedicine Society of India (TSI) including 12 years of dedicated work in successfully steering ISRO’s Telemedicine program.
Dr. Remilla currently serves as the President-elect of the Telemedicine Society of India (TSI). He is scheduled to become the President of TSI in November 2026. His visionary leadership has been instrumental in expanding TSI to 21 state chapters, thereby, empowering NGO’s, hospitals, and grassroot organizations to deliver connected healthcare to the underserved population across the country of India.
